LES Foundation ANNUAL AWARD
About the Award
The LES Foundation Annual Award recognizes enduring contributions to the field of licensing and intellectual property. An Annual Lecture is designed to present strong viewpoints that are topical, important and possibly even controversial. Thus, it is not to be simply educational or informative. Rather, it is to deliver the lecturer's case for the correction, improvement, proper conduct and/or understanding regarding some aspect of licensing and what should be done about it. The Lecture is administered by the LES Foundation of LES (USA & Canada) (www.licensingfoundation.org).
The Award is presented in honor of Dudley Smith (1923-2000), who was one of the principal founders of the Licensing Executives Society (LES), a long-term champion of the goals of LES, and an LES Gold Medal Recipient, the highest honor awarded by the Society. Additional information about the LES and the LES LES Foundation can be obtained via the above LES Foundation web site and general information on LES at www.les.org.
The Award winner will receive a $20,000 honorarium for his or her contributions, which shall include publicized lecture engagements and publication in the journal of LES, les Nouvelles, and elsewhere. The Lecturer will present the lecture at the LES Foundation Annual Dinner. The expenses associated with delivering of the lecture will be reimbursed.
SUBJECT MATTER
